Jingle Bell Ride 2002

December 16 - Austin, TX
The ride started at Bicycle Sport Shop at 6:30 and went through the "Trail of Lights" at Zilker, up through west Austin, and visited the 37th street craziness. Then down through the UT campus, and ended up with a police escort down Congress Avenue.  Not a fast ride, but amazing how many little kids on little bikes were making the 12 mile ride successfully.  If folks look happy, it could be that the temperature was in the 60's for the whole ride.

I rode with Don Westbrook's flashlight and 1987 Christmas water bottle.  He taught a bunch of us effective cycling, and I can't believe he's been gone 14 years.
